Kids Church

We love having kids and families with us at Summer Hill Church. Each Sunday morning (including school holidays), we provide a program for all children between 6 months old and Year 8 at school to hear about Jesus.

About the groups

Creche - 0-5 year olds (pre-school)

Each week, the littlest members of our church explore in a safe play area, sing, share news and are taught a short story from the Bible about what it means to follow Jesus.

Kids Church - years K to 5

This group for primary schoolers includes games, exploring the Bible through age-specific lessons, prayer, learning memory verses, and creative activities (like craft).

Fuel Juniors Bible Study - years 6 to 8

After kicking off with a game or two, the junior youth get started on an interactive Bible study, where they read the Bible, ask and answer questions, and think through how the Bible applies to their lives.

Fuel Juniors only runs during school term. In the holidays, junior youth are instead encouraged to participate in the main church service, and are provided with an age-specific worksheet to help them engage with the service.

About the leaders

Each group is led by 2-3 adult members of Summer Hill Church. All leaders have a NSW Working With Children Check have completed Safe Ministry Training through the Professional Standards Unit of the Sydney Anglican Diocese.

Parents and carers have the opportunity to meet the leaders before children and youth leave for their groups. On first visit, parents and carers are welcome to sit in on the group as their child settles in.
